I will be shocked if Miss St finishes 2nd in the west. It will come down to Auburn and Alabama. LSU and Ole Miss have no QB. Alabama doesn't either, but their overall talent makes up for it. Arky is not talented enough. Miss St lost too much, even though Prescott returns. A&M has absolutely no run game to speak of.

I expect auburn to be improved, but is there reason to expect the addition of Boom will turn that defense into a contender over the summer?
I would expect a solid improvement, but still defensive lapses while Muschamp installs his defense and he and Gus learn to fuse their schemes together.

Somewhere middle of the pack seems about right for the Hogs this year. We are still a year or so away from being able to contend for the West.

I agree about your comments about the defense, but if our offense is where I expect it to be, all we need is solid improvement from our defense. We won the SEC with a horrible defense in 2013. I expect us to be better than that defense.
