Already hate them. "I'm like a secret redneck". So liking southern food makes you a redneck? What a count.

Southerners aren't Americans?

yeah, never heard of that either. i don't like sugar cured ham- meh.
now, i do enjoy a moonpie every now and then (pop in microwave for 10 secs and it's a total different beast of delight).

Liver mush is popular in the Carolinas and NGA. Good stuff, especially fried.
Also, I thought they ate country ham, not sugar ham?
ETA: Store bought pickled okra is fricking gross, but if someone does it themselves, it is goddamn delicious. I make mine and fry them like you would pickles.

Did they find the most sheltered yankees of all time to try these dishes?

It's not funny in the least bit, and it's been littered all over my news feed for weeks.

no, it's good and salty, i thought they said sweet. but now that i think about it they said red-eye gravy so that wouldn't make sense with sweet.
so, i retract my statement- i like that ham.

Those folks looked like Westerners to me.

They said red-eye gravy, which is like the opposite of honey.
