It seems very unlikely that he has much of a shot at playing QB in the league, since he came to the combine as a DB and did very little throwing (but correct me if there's info otherwise). That said, how good of a DB is he going to be? He hasn't really seen the field as a DB in 3 years now. Is he worth taking over a player with similar numbers (4.5/4.6 40) that's actually been playing the position and studying the technique for years now? He was a great SEC player so it's hard to imagine him going really late in the draft, but it's also hard to see what he really offers as a draftee right now.

Be a 2nd or 3rd string CB.

Does he have the frame to play safety? If not, he will be have to be in a zone scheme to have a shot at success.

Regret getting kicked off Georgia. Leave it to auburn to ruin a kids pro career by not using him at his best position

I think he does but he's targeting CB if I'm not mistaken. I think that's his best bet is at safety at 6'0 - 6'1.

OP brings up a good point. Is he worth the risk of a draft pick at this point? Someone is going to take a chance because he's a very good athlete and has good versatility. I see him falling past the 5th round or so and then someone taking a chance on him. Who knows though.

Mike Vick was in a totally different league speed-wise and actually came out of VT as a pretty polished passer. I don't really see the comparison, but who knows.

He actually was invited to the combine as a QB and did all the exercises that the other QB's did. However, he feels his best opportunity is going in as a DB and was put through DB tests after he completed the QB round.

He has the size and speed to be intriguing to some teams. He may get the opportunity but I do not know how he did in the DB portion of his combine last week.

Hmmmm, play QB at Auburn,
get one of these:

Play some form of DB/emergency QB in the NFL

OR

Play DB at UGA,
get to hold this:

Play some form of DB in the NFL

Yeah, I am not seeing much room for regret anywhere there.

When was the last time NM saw live action on the field as a DB?

I realize he's has size & speed and is an athlete - I just don't see a team using a draft pick on him based on his body of work at the DB position.

Georgia, Like I said that is his choice and not sure how he will do. I know Mayock said he showed some flashes of being capable at the senior bowl. I don't know if he will get drafted but I am sure he will get a FA contract somewhere.
