Basketball Team Can't Find Hotels in St. Louis After Emergency Landing, Because Mardi Gras

For those that do not know: St.Louis has the biggest Mardi Gras celebration after the French Quarter. 150-250K will party their arses off in freezing arse temperatures.

I have a hard time believing they're bigger than mobile.

Modern day Mobile is actually the location of the first American Mardi Gras. However, at the time it was still part of Louisiana. So as much as Mobile residents like to claim AL as the birth place of American carnival, it's just not the case.

Figured that would be Mobile, birthplace of the original Mardi Gras.

Mobile: "The event attracted more than 800,000 people in 2010 and more than one million in 2011."

St. Louis: "The event sometimes attracts hundreds of thousands of revelers, with 200,000–250,000 estimated in attendance in 2011"

Galveston: "Galveston, Texas is home to the largest Mardi Gras festival in Texas attracting up to 200,000 revelers to the island each year."

Eh, I'd be willing to bet you'd find a better atmosphere in downtown BR even.

ETA: Actually, . Looks pretty awesome. Google Imaged "St. Louis Mardi Gras" and got some nsfw results.

Slick is a good poster. I'm sure he's sorry for being way off and STL having the 3rd or 4th largest Mardi Gras celebration.
