Yeah nice beating Louisville & Duke, but losing to Miami, WVU, Cincinatti,Purdue, Clemson, Wake Forest, Wofford...they are equally awful and glad to rid them both (hopefully)

In 10 seasons, Gottfried was 83-82 in the SEC and had a winning conference record a whopping 3 times.
The year Bama went to the elite 8 they were 8-8 in the SEC.
Grant's already had as many winning conference seasons in 5 years as Gottfried had in 10.
Gottfried was/is a mediocre coach who got hot at the right time and nothing more. From all reports, he also something of a arsehole. Grant is a better-than-Gottfried mediocre coach who everyone seems to really like.
Given those options, I'd take Grant all day long.
Thankfully, those are not Bama's only options.

Trolls here don't realize that NC State beat 2 of the top 4 teams in the ACC but still only 9 in the ACC standings and probably won't make the NCAAT, unless the beat UNC & Cuse and get a win in the ACCT

Bama fans are blinded when it comes to Gottfried. He wasnt the best coach but he's a ton better than what they have had since. According to a lot of Bama fan, Gottfried was one of the worst coaches ever..

I believe we played two games while being ranked #1. We lost the first game to Utah, and beat Xavier later that week in Tuscaloosa.
