Looks like the very likely end result for this season.

To put that in some historical context.

First losing season since 05-06

The 25 losses would be the most in school history. Besting (worsting???) the previous mark of 22 in 66-67.

1 conference win would sadly only tie for the worst season as that was accomplished in 65-66 and 66-67

A win pct of 22% would be the 3rd worst mark in school history.

As far as I can tell our 61.3 PPG is the worst in school history during the shot clock era.

Again, as far as I can tell our RPI of 178 is also the worst in school history since the stat came into existence.

Ladies and gents, we are living in historic times. When it's all said and done this team will have a very legitimate argument for being the absolute worst team in our school's history spanning 112 seasons of play.

It's 6-25. D2 wins don't count.

I think the school record for consecutive losses is 12. If we lose out we will destroy that mark. At this point, the only games that look even remotely winnable are the MSU games.

And right now we are getting clubbed by 11 to Miss State AT HOME. Yeah I don't know the MSU games look real winnable either. I worry next year might be more of the same.

On the road? No chance. It will very likely be ugly. We have 1 PG, they will press the shite out of us.

322nd in W/L%.

226th in 3PT%.

267th in FT%.

55th in personal fouls. Of course, that means we have the 55th most, not least, fouls.

Chance to beat overranked Arkansas
Chance to beat Vanderbilt
Definite chance to beat Auburn
Definite chance to beat MSST

& coming off our most complete game imo. It's not that bleak.

Not a chance in hell.

On the road...doubtful.

There's always a chance but that's the best I can say.

Not at home so why on the road?

Losing to MSU at home is our most complete game? Ahhhhh, I just now caught on to the sarcasm.

Just like someone said we would win 12. In all seriousness, they may win one of those, but it will be an upset no matter which one it is.

Well it can't much more bleak than it is now. I think most people think we lose all of those. I don't see us winning at Ark or Vandy. We just lost at home to MSU. Auburn is probably our best shot. Sad that beating Auburn at home would be an upset.

Per Rivals, Mizzou looks to set another record tonight...longest losing streak in school history. I'll tune in.

That's crazy. Can't believe Mizzou basketball has fallen this far. Wow.

But....Mizzou will be back.

So rumor on 810 today is that both J3 and Gant are leaving. I don't see it on J3, but in all honesty it wouldn't surprise me if there was a mass exodus and it wouldn't surprise me if they all stayed either.

Well if 810 is saying that, then I think they'll stay.

I'd say that the body language, team chemistry and attitudes seems to have improved markedly over the past couple games.

Gant, MGC, and J3 would have the most options. Isabell would have to go JUCO or mid major.

J3 would surprise me. But if it's that bad, it's that bad.

Yeah, who the heck knows. What I do know is that it doesn't look like one player on the team is enjoying it and while it isn't meant to be easy, if you aren't enjoying what you're doing, do something else. You only get one shot at it.

I really think Shamburger will help with this...in all of his interviews, he has said something about being glad he came to missouri, but that transferring is not a good thing. Hopefully he translates that to the young guys.
