Let's assume they continue to play like they did last night for the remainder of the season, which would mean beating everyone but Kentucky at the end, leaving us with a 19-12 record. We could win a couple of SEC tourney games and I think it would put us in the #35 RPI range.

Lets not forget Arizona in 2008 and Michigan State in 2011 still made the tourney despite 18-14 records (the worst on record for an at-large bid).

Here's hoping!

The Pac 12 in 2008 and the Big 10 in 2011 were among the top conferences those years so quality wins were aplenty to obtain. Those teams got in with 14 losses because of all the quality wins they were able to bag in conference play

SEC doesn't have those teams to get quality wins against.

You do that and you will likely be the #1 over all seed in the NIT.

You can't expect them to play like that every night. You were hosting #1 and Gameday was there. Plus you still have games @A&M and @Lsu, so it's gonna be tough for Florida to win out.

It would be close, before the Vandy loss I would have said yes. On a few sites, I've seen our tourney chances around 70% with 19 wins.

Where are the quality wins?

No quality wins out of conference

Arkansas at home is probably the best win and the only win over another team in the NCAA discussion

Not only that, they need to win 7 straight games to get to 19. Highly unlikely.

That win will be discounted due to Pel's best friend winning the game for them.

It will be viewed no less than beating a team without their best player by the committee.

There is a reason why Anderson wasn't fined for calling that ref out by name in the post game presser.

LINK

77.4% with 19 wins
94.6% with 20 wins
99.7% with 21 wins

Like I said, we may need to win a couple of SEC tourney games on top of it.

Under his scenario presented we would be picking up a bunch of top 50 RPI wins to close out the season.

I'd like to think we could do it, but think the chances are pretty slim, IMO.

Florida shouldn't, but the committee is biased and knows how good your basketball program historically is and will probably let the Gators in if they have any excuse to.

Does Florida get into the tournament? Seriously?

1-5 vs RPI Top 25
1-7 vs RPI Top 50
4-10 vs RPI Top 100
9-11 vs RPI Top 150
67th in RPI

12-11 overall
5-5 in SEC

Only 1 game remaining vs a Top 30 RPI team, and that is @ Rupp vs Kentucky (you aren't winning that game).

So, the answer is no.
