Good thing...if that had fallen through, we may have lost most of the Barners to a suicide melt.

I'm glad that high school coach let him out of his cage, though.

Shame he couldn't convince him through force to come to Florida.

There's a two hundred post melt claiming a high school coach tried to hijack and sabotage an LOI.

We're content with the day, but the bawling from Auburn has been nonstop until this point.

This just sheds a light on McElwain's recruiting tactics. He won't sneak up on anybody by trying this next year.

I could see a kid having second thoughts wanting to think about it a little longer and a coach saying, "frick it. Blame it on me; idc."

I think it's more likely Cowart wasn't very clear with how decisive he wanted to be and the HC took advantage of it and took his sweet arse time getting anything done. Supposedly a second letter (not the UF one) was provided by AU, but it sounds like by that point the school had gotten out of the deal all together.

I think the coach was being a total homer and trying to push everything back on the chance his commitment fell through, but I don't think Cowart was acting decisively either.
