Besides the obvious of actually winning and making the big dance, I'll start with:

Being able to inbound the ball
Teaching bigs how to set legal screens

Energy for the whole game. Grant goes into some kind of stupor at very bad times.

I'd like for our next coach to have an offense that doesn't call for our post players being outside the 3 point line initiating the offense.

A guy with a personality who will actually act like he wants to be here, will promote the program.

I'd love for the coach to have an offense that doesn't have 8 minute+ scoring droughts.

To actually find and develop a big man and a pure shooter.

All good suggestions

I'd like for our coach to have a strength coach that doesn't have a ponytail. Grow up and and get a professional haircut

Actually drawing up a play when he calls a timeout

I like all of the suggestions so far. I would also like to add:

(1) I would like to see him instill not only confidence but some mental toughness in our players. That's where our scoring droughts come from. We don't just have 1-2 bad possessions in a row, they linger for 5+ minutes and totally take us out of the game.

(2) Emotion. Get up and get a tech if you have to. Don't just sit on the bench and pout and look like you just farted.

(3) Promote the program nationally. I want to see/hear him on something other than the SECn or Crimson Tide Sports radio.

That's just a few off the top of my head. The actual list would generate a TL;DR response.

I don't think that I've ever disliked a Bama coach more than Grant. I think it's because I thought he was a sure thing. I feel lied to

Run an offense that doesn't consists of passing around the 3 point line. Huge pet peeve. Ball possession is horrible too.

I think the consensus is Archie Miller, Ben Howland, the pipe dream of Marshall, and then other mid major guys.

Those two are both good options. Would be happy. I'll need to learn more about Archie though before I'm completely sold

If Battle is smart, Howland would be the first call and we'd give him what he wanted. It's not often can you get a coach who has been to 3 final fours at a discounted price.

Rebound & boxing out

Drawing up plays that will actually help you score and not playing defense against yourself.

We should hire Bucky McMillan. Has taken a team full of white boys and won the state back to back and in it again this year. Mtn brook hs
