What actor is to the left of Marilyn (her right)?

ETA: Figured it out-Victor Mature.

Pretty sure those aren't telephone wires. The other times I've seen that photo it's been explained those are DC current power lines, before tesla's AC current.

Wouldn't surprise me.

The Chicago picture was mislabeled as new York times square in the link

ETA upon further research, might actually be telephone lines.

Also...

Improper use of "c" for "circa". Circa means "about" and is never used in a range of years. If the date is probably between 1890 and 1900, then you would say "Circa 1895". You wouldn't use a range. Or, you can use the range, but don't use "circa".

Cool pics, but amateur presentation by "Unique Scoop".

This is a picture of Terry Sawchuk in 1963. The picture you posted is Terry with make up and prosthetics added.

He had scars on his face, but nothing close to what was in that photo.

I didn't notice any obese people in any of the pics. Amazing.

Enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

The Queen Elizabeth II / Marilyn Monroe one got my 3some juices flowing.

If the 1887 is correct then those probably are telephone, and not DC, lines. Though the error holds some merit: Edison's dream was for DC to be produced around every corner; Tesla's AC made long-distance transmission more viable.

Not sure if I'd rather be hanged from a stagecoach or spend time in that Wyoming wood-plank heater.

The motorcycle chariots are too obviously reminiscent of the pod racers from Star Wars I.

The swastikas on those bball uniforms would make for a great retort to whoever said [on here somewhere] the other day that he's sure that if an alien with no knowledge of human history saw the Nazi German flag then he/she/it would recognize it immediately as representative of universal evil. Yeah, whatever.

EDIT: That 1973 Xerox computer was, essentially, the first Macintosh. Saw a documentary on it a long time ago. It had a mouse as well as a GUI. (Xerox shite the bed not pushing that one).

2nd pic is labeled wrong. It is actually taken in Atlanta, GA I believe in 1864 during Sherman's march.

EDIT: Yep here is the original image
