His one hire is Rick Ray, and that hasn't gone well. Every expansion project has either been the work of Greg Byrne that he piggy-backed on or only involves renderings but no money raised. Starting to wonder if he's better served as a sports info guy or a columnist for the Clarion Ledger. Compared to Ross Bjork, he's been fairly underwhelming.

I can't remember if they went together or not, but I'm pretty sure he brought Cohen back down with him when they both left UK.

He was great as our SID.

What has Bjork actually done better than Stricklin? If you are accusing him of Byrne piggy backing, the same can be said about every damn project at Ole Miss. Except Strick improved on Byrne's visions -- while Bjork cut the nuts off of Boone's.

No, he's a good baseball coach though.

He's done at least as much as Bjork. Hired Vic Schaefer and our new Volleyball coach.

Bjork the polar opposite of Boone and you know it. It's insane to even compare the two

Was the endzone expansion a Bryne or Strickland thing? Serious question.

Boone had nothing to do with the new Basketball arena being built, so there is that, the Girls basketball coach, the men's golf coach, stadium improvements and a parking garage.

I mean there's always this. Which is nice.

State's football and baseball programs are solid, and it looks like he's made some good hires in the mid-major sports. This is probably close to the "glory days" of MSU athletics, whenever that was

He seems pretty solid to me

LOL. Go to YouTube and look at the videos introducing the new arena and the FB expansion, and it is Boone doing the intro in 2011.

WTF has Bjork accomplished other than being a douche on social media?

I'm not sure with the state of our basketball program at the time that any AD could have gotten a good coach to come to MSU.

Our athletic dept. as a whole is lightyears better than it ever was, so yes he is doing a good job.

Well, we've been to a CFP bowl, won an NCAA tournament game, conference basketball championship, and Omaha in the past few years. Not to mention facility upgrades and more national exposure than ever. Bjork is killing it, and Stricklin is simply not.

I know the answer to this but since it is you that's asking, I'll just keep it to myself.

Built a new basketball arena, expanding VHS, increased donations, scheduled great matchups for OOC regular season games, hired women's basketball and volleyball coaches that are doing really well right now.

What has Stricklin done of note?

Let me ask you this. How many major programs have come after Stricklin? Nebraska came after Bjork a few years ago.

I wasn't aware this thread was a comparison of Bjork and Boone?

Fact: IF you try to credit MSU facilities to Byrne, who actually oversaw ZERO building for us, then you've damn sure got to credit OM facilities to Boone.

Boone football expansion

Bjork football expansion
