LSU is starting to see some nice income from neutral site arrangements. The $4.75 million due from the Miami game in 2018 is expected to be the most LSU will receive to play in a neutral site game, but the school is likely padding the coffers with frequently scheduled neutral site games. LSU has played in a neutral site game four out of the last five seasons.

Alabama and West Virginia split $6.4 million to play in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta in 2014. Ole Miss and Boise State split $3.1 million for the same event a couple of days earlier. The Cowboys Classic offered even bigger payouts for each school in its game. In 2012 Alabama and Michigan each received $4.7 million. The previous year LSU was paid $3.5 million and Oregon received $2 million to play in the game. The Florida Gators are expected to receive $6 million to play in the 2017 Cowboys Classic, against Michigan. Florida State will receive $3.5 million to play Ole Miss in Orlando in 2016.

Maybe you can hang on to Steele when some C USA school comes calling

Meh

Chavis isn't a legacy. When Les loses a legacy to a rival school, I'll start complaining

Tough for LSU to compete for CUSA when they are offering a LB position coach job compared to a DC job aboard the titanic

Maybe. We didn't care enough when a&m, the c-usa team of the sec, came calling.

Maybe you can win a national football title, now ... 1 9 3 9

That's certainly a nice pay day. Maybe we should be doing these things more often if we can demand that kind of money.

But Wilson coaches for you and stuff, or at least does until somebody offers him more money

There's still plenty of time to cancel it and keep our streak alive.

Better than the money will be the south Florida exposure for recruiting imo.

these neutral site payouts don't seem that much to me when the other option is a home game. home games gross over 10 million so it seems like lost income to play at a neutral site, esp considering large travel expenses. I guess the more lucrative home game would be against a cupcake that you only had to pay a million or so and the neutral game would be against a good team so exposure is better.
