Is any all star game worth a damn besides baseball?

Just watched the start to the pro bowl and they're literally not even tackling. Just stood Murray up and they all stopped. Like it's 2 hand touch. I get no one wanting to get hurt, so just don't play the damn game. Lord knows I turned it off.

I hear ya but all you hear is the damn horn. The horn is fine, but when it's literally going off every 30 seconds, it gets obnoxious. Absolutely no defense in hockey either. Same with basketball.

None of the them are worth a shite anymore. There was a time when, although an exhibition, there was conference,league etc pride involved and there was some competition.
I would rather see them all go away including the MLB all star game.

Yepp. Me too. Hell, I'd enjoy the skills competition more than a farce of a game.
Show me who throws the ball furthest. Runs the fastest. Can do the obstacle course thing fastest.
Show me who skates the fastest. Can knock the most cans over.
Do the 3 point and slam dunk.
Do the home run contest.
Call it a party weekend and be done with it.

I'm with ya on the skills competition, athletes want to show what they can do head to head against other players, would be much more entertaining, then maybe a quick scrimmage starting at the 20 with each conference getting 5 possessions for good measure.

Pro sports, for the most part, sucks arse; too many "characters" saying "hey look at me make a very routine play".

I can't stand what they've done to the pro bowl. I've never really been that big of a fan of it in the first place, but it should be NFC vs. AFC. This picking teams crap is stupid.
