Hear are some general legal definitions that will help everyone understand the charge:

Criminal Mischief means he damaged property valued at less than $500 dollars.

Domestic Violence means the property belonged to his wife/ex-wife, girlfriend/ex-g/f, baby momma

Bottom Line: He was not arrested for hitting a woman.

I don't think it means anything. Just a misdemeanor with a $500 bond. If it was anything too serious, the bond would have been much higher. Probably youth offender since no priors.

Criminal mischief related to Domestic violence. Here is how one of the BOL posters explained it:

quote:

Hear are some general legal definitions that will help everyone understand the charge:

Criminal Mischief means he damaged property valued at less than $500 dollars.

Domestic Violence means the property belonged to his wife/ex-wife, girlfriend/ex-g/f, parent, child, or household member.

Bottom Line: He was not arrested for hitting a woman.

If that explanation is true, that's good. Not sure why they would attach domestic violence to it though as opposed to just criminal mischief. Pretty misleading

He broke some shite. But it seems people just saw "domestic violence" and assumed the worst.

Because the alleged victim met the definition of those set forth in the statute.

I really hated to see this. Me and my kids met him after the Southern Miss game. He took the time to stop and shake my hand a talk a bit. My kids all wanted #7 Anderson jerseys after that.

The domestic violence relationship has expanded dramatically as of late:

"the victim is a current or former spouse, parent, child, any person with whom the defendant has a child in common, a present or former household member, or a person who has or had a dating or engagement relationship with the defendant."

Mind that bolded part fellas.

No kidding. Adding dating or engagement relationship was a game changer.

That plus the creation of "interference with a DV call" was huge.

Add on that it can be a warrantless misdemeanor arrest and you can see why I'll wait to hear the facts of this case.
