We may or may not have 2 new coaches on staff relatively soon, based on my definition of relative and soon.

When rash left last year how long did it take to hire Smith? I couldn't remember if that came out after signing day or not.

Who knows. I could see Bert possibly waiting until after NSD to make the last hire, especially after going all the way through the postaeason recruiting cycle before hiring Robb Smith.

With the Hogs being short coaches, doesn't that allow Bret more in home visits with recruits? I seem to remember something of that from last year being down a DC.

I guess that does seem thin.
I think what I was daydreaming about was getting rid of Michael Smith, then getting an OC who could coach WRs and then an assistant dedicated to coaching QBs. Then we'd still be able to get a LB coach.
But Michael Smith doesn't seem to be going anywhere, unless they boot him after signing day.
