for LSU's slow melt. They keep this crap up ole Willie and the DD boys will be Bama fans before long. We already own the deed to that part of La anyway.

One of my friends is a Kitchen manager at a restaurant... a while back he promoted the pizza guy who was great at being the pizza guy to assistant kitchen manager cause he needed someone for that position... the guy ended up sucking really bad and my friend had to fire him.
The Pizza guy went and got a Kitchen Manager Job at another restaurant and sucked it up there... eventually he got fired and needed a job....
My friend hired him back as a the pizza guy at his restaurant... and he has done a good job since.
What can we learn from this...? Just cause you can make pizzas and coach linebackers doesn't mean you need to be a kitchen manager or defensive coordinator.

The only problem with your story is that Kevin Steele can't even make pizza.

My only concern with the Steele hire is this will only make Bama that much stronger. He made John L Smith look like a genius when he was at Baylor and he hasn't improved since then.
Specifically you couldn't come up with a more different coach from Chavis for LSU. Chavis is all about stressing fundamentals and keeping the system simple for the defense so they can adjust quickly. Steele is all about a highly complex defense that he doesn't communicate well. He also is completely lost against HUNH or Air Raid style teams. Steele is a guy that other coaches like because he has a great football mind, the problem is he has no clue how to translate it.
I really can't think of a worse hire for LSU, honestly Mark Snyder would have been better because at least he has had some success in the past.
