That may be after the price of oil and oil companies fell so much. A few months back it was reported he was worth 17 billion and wouldn't even have to sell any stock in his company to pay her the 1 billion.
She was involved in the startup of the company so she deserves it. Maybe much more.
Most people read these articles and view as if it it's them and their ex-wife. Imagine if she was your sister, your mom or your aunt. If she worked in it and helped build it she isn't being greedy to get her part.

Sure it stings to pay out ANY amount,my ut all of the people I've spoken to about their divorces eventually come around to the payment was a bargain to get away from the woman. One poor sap gave everything, and she was wanting more still.
