I'll be curious to see where he ends up round wise. Most of the mocks have him as a early-mid first round pick but I'm wondering if he ends up falling after the combine and film study of his pass coverage.

All that I've seen don't have him getting past 12. Link?

I think Walter Football has him at 15 to the Texans.

Hopefully the Giants at 9. We need to let Rolle go and get some UA boys in here.

LC is gonna be a great run stopping safety even if his coverage leaves some to be desired. I'd love to get him.

#7 in a passing league? Someone is going to make a very stupid decision on draft day.

Most mocks have him as a top 10 pick.

You do realize NFL scouts begin scouting players well before they enter the draft, right? Bama has had a minimum of 3 NFL teams at every practice this year alone. Most practices it is 5 or more. Teams have seen Collins in person dozens of time and on film even more. If he falls, it won't be "based on film study". He'd have to be slow at combine, or have some other issues.

I recall the Sugar Bowl announcers stating he will be a top-ten overall pick.

Of course I realize that. I also realize NFL scouting departments and GM's are made up of human beings that succumb to peer pressure and group think, which happens in the NFL draft all the time. I could see group think determining Collins will have trouble in space and a pack of teams dropping his grade.

He'll have to run a 4.5 or under to turn some heads. If he runs in the 4.6 to 4.7 range he'll likely drop.

He will be a terror on special teams for sure. I think his career most likely will resemble Roy Williams, insane physical talent, but easily exposed in coverage at the professional level.

Eh, lots of NFL SS run 4.6 - 4.65.

True but Landon better have times in that range. If he gets up there over 4.7 he'll drop.

I think you are severely underestimateing how fast LC is. I'd wager he runs in the high 4.4s
