Well I will be on tour in the Poconos and maybe have a stop in Dubuque, IA for my comedy tour.

We are trying to plan a reunion tour with the "service technicians" in Arkansas who originally started this great saga, but they seem to always unavailable.

I just can not figure out how they charged me for a new water pump and put a used one on.

Head(s) if you're lucky.

Long block if the coolant got into the bottom end and caused internal damage.

That is a blown head gasket, and/or cracked head.

also most likely a warped head if it stayed hot long.

Exactly what this guy said.

I just realized I should ask them to put the new Water Pump on that got warrantied on the replacement engine. Or give it to me to sell. I really hope this thing goes smoother than I am expecting. I want to drive my Jeep, its been horrid driving the little car all the time. I just like driving the Jeep at least 2 times a week.

SUCCESS!!!

Thermostat locked after picking up yesterday. Overheated. Repaired and was driven by mechanic, myself, and the mechanic again to test.

Took to home and back to school, no temp spikes, no oil leak, no oil burnoff.

SUCCESS!!!

The odyssey may be over, notice I said may.

Used engine, new head gasket, new valve covers, new radiator, new fluids, new distributor cap, new rotor, new wires, new plugs, new U joints, new drive shaft, new water pump, 3 tows.

I saw the bill and it was not jaw dropping.

I suppose. The wallet took a hit so I think the success is the mechanics.

So a new saga begins

I believe it's a camshaft position sensor

Stalling out
Rough shift
Bad gas mileage

No leaks smoke or debris
Ruled out the transmission slip as it goes when given power

So here we go...who's ready for this journey?

Serious question...how many times have you told someone that the kneuter valve was broken and they asked what it was and how much if could order at Autozone?

I knew that term as soon as I saw it, btw. Just because my grandfather was manager of Sears Auto at one time.

A bunch, almost as many times as I've got someone to run to the parts house and ask for a water pump for a 1972 VW Bug
