Why you kick the FG down 7 when you get the ball back in the 2nd half

This is difficult to understand, I know, but hear me out.

The reason you kick the FG when you're down 7 at the end of the half and you get the ball back to start the 3rd quarter is very simple:

YOU

GET

THE

BALL

BACK

TO

START

THE

3RD

To be fair, they had a 40 yarder blocked later in the game.

That, coupled with the fake FG fail gave them no room for error and put the defense in a horrible position.

very true

on 3 of their 4 longest dries they came away with no points.
