Am I the only one who finds the whole recruiting scene to be an embarrassment?

I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I find the whole situation of grown men (and women) hunting down high school kids in bathrooms, following their every move on the tweetter, or sending threatening messages to them when they commit to a rival to be a bit debasing for the people involved.

More than a bit debasing. It's a couple steps removed from hanging around elementary school playgrounds taking pictures of the kids from a panel van. It's creepy.

I care about football probably too much, but I feel like hounding around some highschool kid's tweet box is really crossing the line into stalker.

I was into recruiting pretty hard and then just took a huge reverse a few years ago. Some who follow are okay but there are others who go way too far and creepy imo. I follow from a distance, but it means nothing till LOI's are sent in.

I follow recruiting but I don't follow them on Twitter or try to get to know them IRL or any creepy stuff like that.

Those people that tweet and live or die by high school kids decisions have life issues

Is there anything creepier on here than the "wish lists" some posters have of high school recruits?

Yea those with twitter accounts who hunt down hs kids, add them, then monitor their every tweet. Then there is an even smaller minority who take the next creepy step and try to "befriend" them or recruit them.
