What's up everybody? Roll Tide! I just came across this site about a week ago. I'm a student at Alabama. I was born in New Orleans and was raised an LSU fan but wanted to go out of state for college. Just wanted to introduce myself. Also, being a new Bama fan (I'm a freshman), I'm still learning a lot about the football team. I feel I know this year's team backwards and forwards, but I'm wondering about the 2015 team? What do yall die hards think? Where are we gonna be weaker and stronger? Does next year's team have championship potential? Thanks. Roll Tide.

D-line will be the strongest we've had under Saban. Lots of depth and nasty talent up front. Losing Depriest hurts as far as getting everyone where they need to be, and Dickson will be a tough loss, but Evans has shown a lot of promise, Ragland is a beast, Foster could break out next year, and Tim Williams has been doing well so the front 7 should be scary overall. I think Ragland is going to be a good leader in the middle.
Biggest concern defensively is safety, but we have former early enrollee Hootie Jones with a lot of talent, and incoming early 5 star enrollee Deionte Thompson, plus a couple guys who have performed there this year. Corners with one more year in the system so I don't know why they shouldn't be improved. Crazy talent at ther position.
Offensively we lose a lot of contributing starters, but we are insanely deep at receiver. Nobody can replace Cooper immediately, but we will have a passing game. Whichever QB gets the job will do plenty to keep our offense rolling. Coker has looked much better in garbage time than he did earlier in the season. Kiffin will have him or Bateman/Cornwell ready.
RB is just so deep for Bama. Kenyan Drake and Derrick Henry back, Tyren Jones with another year in the system. We'll be able to run. If Cristobal can coach well enough, the o-line will be fine despite losing some good blockers. Ryan Kelly and C-Rob are the most important pieces right now.
Next year is definitely a championship caliber team in talent. The defense will be the best since 2011, so the offense just needs to be adequate.
Also, 21-0, 20-13. Congrats and switching to the right side. Welcome to the family

Defense should be better. Offense will likely take a step back unless Kiffin is able to really work some magic. If he's able to make next year's O even close to this year's, then the overall team could well be better than this year's.

The 21-0 was the most miserable LSU game from when I was a fan. But I was in Baton Rouge for 20-13. Was maybe the most fun game of the year.

Our defense will be good enough to win a championship next year. Our offense and special teams (outside of Scott) will be a work in progress.

If the offensive line improves I think the offense can be better next year. Especially from a consistency stand point. Something that was missing in many game this year. You just cant cherry pick certain games and pretend this offense was awesome all the time. It had tons of struggles and growing pains through out the year. If the interior of the linen doesn't improve then yea I can see it taking a step back but im optimistic that it will. Hopefully 2 years of poor then average at best CBs will lead a rise once again to us being able to shut down passing games once again and really dominate that side of the ball from where we are accustomed too.

The 2015 team maybe taking a step back but probably not.
You should probably be cherishing the run Bama is on now with the rest of your gump brethren.

Next years team could be weak at safety and may see a true freshman back there. QB could be a problem if Coker does not quicken his release.
CB's will be all world, we will have the best front seven in college football and the defense has all world depth.
The OL should be monsters and oh my God what a stable of RB's.

This a good point, although I think that the silver lining was that they were so good in crunch time which goes a long way in people memories, especially when you can attribute a lot of the struggles to what you mentioned: growing pains.
