I don't really know what to say about this video, but it's a great watch...

Take four minutes out of your life.

You won't regret it.

Now that was awesome.

I've done that before.

Guy was begging for money to eat and at the moment I was like " I'm sorry I just don't believe you won't buy alcohol, and upon hearing that instead of getting irate he just said " yes sir. I understand. Godbless you."

At that point I stopped him walking away, gave him $20, and he was so elated he skipped his way to Denny's down the hill. I smiled my entire 8 hr drive home that night.

Unfortunately they are the minority.

That was cool. I really try not to be skeptical, but it's tough.

Who's chopping onions in here, damn it?!?!

I guess that footage kinda reinforces the old adage concerning what happens when we assume things, huh?

I've given money to plenty of homeless people hoping that they would spend it wisely. I've also taken the time to talk to them and a few confessed that they were either addicts/alcoholics that wanted to stop but didn't know how or that they were in recovery. I never judged them, though. Instead I talked to them about rehab facilities that they could go to that would accept them without insurance or means to pay and stressed to them that the facilities that I was recommending also provided bus transportation no matter the distance should they need it. I'd like to think that maybe...just maybe...I helped at least one of them find their way back to a life of freedom that no longer involved being imprisoned by drugs and/or alcohol.

Thanks for posting this video...it really did make me cry, but it restored some faith in mankind at the same time.

Merry Christmas, TT!

I hope that's not staged. If it isn't,

Some homeless guy hit me up about 10 years ago with the whole "hungry and need money for food" bit.

I didn't carry any cash, still don't, but I did have 4 free Chic-fil-A chicken biscuit and chicken sandwich coupons. The restaurant was inside the building I worked, right across the street from my encounter with the guy.

I told him I didn't have any cash but he could get himself four meals with the coupons I had and he looked me straight in the eye and said "fricking forget it."

Guess he wasn't hungry after all.
