Ncaa still gonna force him out?

I know this, he can coach. Gonzo would be well under .500 with this roster.

The good start he's gotten off to will help imo. Anything short of a multi year show cause and I think we keep him.

To be above .500 with this roster and the #8 strength of schedule in the country is very impressive.

We don't know yet but yes the man can definitely coach. I also think AD Dave Hart will fight hard to keep him. Hart won't do what Hamilton did and simply feed his coach to the wolves.

he probably feels emasculated since his home court is named after a woman's bball coach.

I think they'll keep him unless the NCAA just bends him over.

Just waiting on what the NCAA does at this point.

What ground does the ncaa have to stand on anyway after the north Carolina and Miami
debacles? I would keep him regardless.

College basketball is the most corrupt sport there is. Some just do it better than others.

Perhaps the greatest college coach in any sport of all time. My guess is Tyndall is very proud to be able to use that court.

geno is a better woman's basketball coach. Knight, K, Wooden, Daddy Dale, Pitno, Izzo all easily better from the superior side of basketball.

• 36 consecutive seasons with 20-plus wins.

• Gold medal winner as coach of 1984 U.S. Olympic team.

• Silver medal winner as a player (co-captain) on 1976 U.S. Olympic team.

• Graduated from Tennessee-Martin in 1974, leaving as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,045 points.

I agree wholeheartedly. I hope they stand by him and tell the NCAA to shove it.. (if they come back with strong penalties)

He'll definitely receive some sanctions, that is for sure, but they have no idea the severity.
Anything short of a show cause and UT absolutely has to keep him. If he gets a show cause, UT better try like hell to keep him and tell the NCAA to shove it.

So you're saying women are easier to coach?

it is far easier to win in the less competitive woman's side. its basically a 5 or 6 team race each year and very rarely does an upset happen.

roster management is a bit harder when players have to go out for yeast infections and such
