I'm spending it with a friend I met down here (her boyfriend is also American) and her family.

Vodka (or gin), dry vermouth, and a cocktail onion instead of an olive.

Gin.. vodka is my kryptonite and kept me from alcohol for over a decade after a gluttoness night.

My personal favorite is a vesper martini. 3oz gin, 1oz vodka, and a half oz of Lillet blanc.

I've been onto Sazeracs lately too. Corsair rye is great for them. Also, the Corsair barrel aged gin is great.

If that's all you're looking for, may I recommend good single barrel bourbon like Blantons, or someone to talk to? You seem rather down and out.

I think there's going to be lots of drinking. Grandma called me the other day and told me to find her some Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, and pick up something that I like too.
