I also wanna ask, are there any other vol message boards besides VN? They post great recruiting info but most of the posters seem like sheep and the humor on there grinds on me.

Aww cheers man. One thing I do love about tRant is that all of us stick together -- other boards have too much infighting. You often make me laugh out loud with some of your posts and I'm like you - Phat Phil and Serraneaux have really grown on me. It simply amazes me that they both troll the shite out of tRant regularly and yet the usual suspects fall for it every time. Truly hilarious, especially when I've praised Phil's roll and absolute mastery in any given Phat Phil thread and those posters still get rustled/continue their rustle (that is skill on the part of Phat Phil :lol).

When posters know his history, can even be teased or informed about what he does and they still get mad -- sometimes even madder -- that's a thing of beauty, an artiste at work. Our trolls may be fewer in number but they are the best on the rant in my not so humble opinion.

Where to visit on VN:
As for other boards, I suggest the recruiting forum on VN, particularly the "Recruiting Forum Football Talk," the "recruiting tweets only - *no discussion*" and nicksjuzunk's "Recruiting Forum Unofficial [insert opponent) Pregame Thread," as he usually does good analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each team and what should be the keys to the game. Even when he turns out to be wrong, they're often good writeups. Also, the "Hot Recruiting News" threads which are discussion free are great. And the "Upcoming Visits and Camps" thread has tons of info in the first post.

Really most of the things that are stickied are worth checking out. That said, the closer it gets to NSD the more often FF posters visit and spew shite. QB threads and threads involving commits in the public eye/on twitter a lot are prone to insanity (same when a player decommits - even tho the RF is typically miles better it just draws out all manner of stupid as does anything remotely 'controversial' that could get a kid tagged by the stick in the muds as a drama queen).

ThirdAndChavis/FeelsLike98:
The two other websites are thirddandchavis and feelslike98. They have what appears to be a legit insider in some guy named Tommy B. although he doesn't always get it right and likes to drop just fragments of info. and letting people guess -- a bit of tease if you aske me. Both can be cesspools at times and have a few posters that are similar to Arky trolls on the rant but maybe a bit smarter. Those two sites love drama and are often negative nancies about a lot of things (more than we have reason to be and we have plenty to be negative about just like we have a lot to be positive about) -- really other than being less family oriented (they can cuss, flame and be a whole lot more vulgar) they're not terribly different from VN's FF on controversial and/or topics that generate a lot of discussion/posts.

3nC seems better than FL98 to me but it also looks like there's far fewer topics, posts, and posters. I don't visit either very often but after checking both out I visit 3nC more - if I want a soap opera though FL98 is tops, complete with gay porn clips as a means of Rickrolling.

I liked everything you said but I'll admit that I can't remember Tommy B ever being wrong on anything. He's the most legit insider I've ever seen on a VOLS board.

I actually love FL98 and can't wait until it comes back. There's some hilarious shite that goes on on that board.

3&C is alright but it's quite a bit more negative than FL98.

No clue. There was a lot of nonsense about the AJ rape case getting posted so I wouldn't be surprised if Rob decided to just let the board take a break for a while.

Burger should be banned. He's terrible. Thankfully I've managed to avoid seeing his posts for a while. Leb's OCD about numbers is obnoxious but he can be ok when he's not derailing every thread with numbers talk. Problem is that's all he ever does 90 percent of the time.
