Big 12 is going to be forced to add 2 members.
UCF and Cincy are probably the smartest football wise.
With a booster push and a chance to eat into SEC territory.

Never going to happen. Their best bet is to get into CUSA when the dominos fall.

Meh, I think if they're aiming to take a bite out of the SEC footprint close to their borders they'd be wiser to take on a Louisiana school like La. Tech or UL-L. It would be better in terms of possible added TV viewership and added recruiting footprint, and the state of Arkansas doesn't really bring those two things to the table.
Aside from the last four years (really 2011 and 2012), they're really not a good football program.

If the SEC Network wouldn't have happened, the chances for a jump to the Big XII would be a lot better. There's no way we leave now with all the free money rolling in.
Eta: didn't see "State" in the title.

Agree that LaTech makes more sense. Arkansas State has better attendance in football than LaTech, currently.
Not that that makes a big difference.

Not a lot of TV sets in Jonesvegas, Searcy and Walnut Ridge.

Would like to see them in there, but they are just too small to be in one of the major conferences. Yeah, CUSA is probably their best bet for a step up.

I'm thinking that Possum Grape needs to do their part and step it up a notch.

Cincy makes sense, they've been decent in Football and Basketball at times, also gives Iowa St. and WVU someone else close by.
UCF, not so much, its a "big" school, but they are they current USF in football, yeah, remember those guys?
Instead of UCF, the big12 would be smart to go after Colorado St. who's shown they can be decent at both sports at times.
If they want to go CUSA with their membership list, they could add BYU for football only which would take care of their "we don't play when we could be knocking on you door at 7 am in our white shirts, black ties, after riding our bicycles to your house" stance in other sports.

The Big XII should add BYU and Boise. It makes things tough for West Virginia, but they shouldn't be in the conference anyway.

BYU is a better add than CSU and I come from a long line of CSU alums.

Agree about WVU. The second WVU gets an ACC invite they'd be out the door.
