I was impressed by our intensity and defense after going 0-2 last week and then taking 6 days off. Hell of a job by Anderson and the staff keeping the players focused after two bad games.

defense looked as good as it has most of the year, outside a game or two. nice to dominate a team that just made a deep tourney run.

eta- and good to see Mike stick to his word after the clemson loss and give durham more minutes. thought he looked pretty good.

Hell yeah. From the looks on the Dayton players faces, they didn't know what hit them. They weren't ready for that game today at all.

We always look good at home. Didn't get to see it but how did Durham look? Is he adjusting to the speed of D-1 play? I know there was a lot of hype for him when he signed.

No one wants to talk basketball after wins, only losses...

Not always.

He got the start along with Williams.

Portis/Williams is the forward combo we need to see more of.

Harris looked good coming off the bench.

Madden looked good on the bench.

Thanks Dale. It's been good to see Williams this year, like the light has finally come on.

Defense looked good. Offense was lights out early on building the lead. Great job today.

You have to understand where the nay sayers are coming from. We look good at home beating up on a good team. On the road we have looked like crap two times out of three. It is a legit complaint.

We win 89% of games at home, 18% on the road...

Looked really good on both ends in the first half, our offense kind of napped a little in the second. Madden still sucks, which is kind of sad because he was the only one left off of Pel's "great" recruiting class. Oh well, at least the kid can hit FT's.

Also, I hate how vulnerable we are underneath, scary vulnerable.

I am aware.

Are you aware of how many teams in the SEC have had winning or .500 road records in the same time span?

large difference in .500 and .1818

if we were around .30 or .35 we would have been in the tourney last year

You are going to hear that Madden playing off the ball will be an improvement for the team, the problems that are present with Madden are not that he is being "forced" to play the "pg" role something he is not good at, it is that he enjoys having the ball in his hands too much, wants to be a "pg", but he disrupts the offense by holding the ball just to hold the ball, that is why the offense looks better when he is not in the "pg" role, the other guards do not do this, they run the offense.

We have the biggest disparity between home and away. I don't think we should just use other teams sucking on the road as a excuse for us. Are we not trying to be better than their bad programs?

Its a simple question, but we move the goal posts instead?

As the talent level improved, the road record has improved, it isn't coincidence, it isn't like we were great on the road in the years prior either and Mike brought this road losing presence.

It is the one thing you can knock Mike on, and several have latched on to it.

Do you consider Kentucky to be a bad program?

So you would be OK with it if more home games were being lost?

Who said it was an excuse, its a simple question, if winning on the road was easy, several teams would have finished at or above .500 in the same time span.

I don't think that was his claim. He simply said winning 18% of our road games is abysmal, and it is. 50% or better is nothing but a pipe dream, and not just for us. However, winning 25-30% would be within reason.

We haven't had a winning road % since the 94-95 season, so it isn't just MA. It's that at home we set the pace, and on the road we let our opponent set the pace - that's the difference. Well, outside of the mindset of the players going into a road game, it's like they concede before the game starts.
