Damn, tough luck for that kid. I hope he bounces back from it.

Really sucks for the kid. I wonder if this leads Cal to abandoning the platoon system.

We posted them at the same time. I saw one of the NBA guys I follow on twitter tweet about and saw no one had posted it yet.

I truly hate this. He is one of my favorite players of recent past. His effort and tenacity is unparalleled

I feel terrible for the kid. Hopefully he comes back strong in the future. And I know UK needs to play better than yesterday, but I wonder if Cal will feel any heat for this making them practice the day after the game (even though I think that happens a fair amount).

That sucks to hear. EVen though I'm not a Kentucky fan, I don't wish injury to anyone who puts their body on the line.

With 8 games played, Alex Poythress falls under the NCAA cutoff of 30 percent of UK’s scheduled games. Could apply for medical redshirt.

Lyles to the blue platoon, Willis to the white.

I truly hate this for Alex.

Really, too bad. People around the program say Poythress is a heck of a person and the best student on the team. He has something like a 3.8 GPA taking classes for some science/engineering major. I just read, however, that he can still redshirt. With all of the players going to the draft this year, he should get an opportunity to really shine next year.
