Let's all take a moment to lament, or celebrate, Derek Dooley's ineptness

His final year at Tennessee, he started on offense...

QB - Bray (injured reserve Chiefs)
RB - Neal (Packers practice squad)
WR - Hunter (Titans)
WR - Patterson (Vikings)
WR - Zach Rogers (Jets - No longer in the NFL)
TE - Rivera (Raiders)
C - Stone (Falcons)
OT - James (Dolphins)
OG -Fulton (Chiefs)
OG - Bullard (Lions - No longer in the NFL)
OT - Richardson (injured reserve Vikings - likely done forever due to lingering knee issue)

That would be 11 out of 11 offensive players starting out in the NFL, with 9 of the 11 still on rosters.

5-7

That's pretty sad if all of those guys were starting for Tennessee at the same time.

It went from top 25 in 2011 to the worst in America in 2012, starting basically the exact same guys. Sal Sunseri was definitely the issue, but 5-7 with that offensive talent is inexusable.

So 6 of them are bona fide NFL players. The issue at Tennessee in 2012 was an issue with team chemistry and character. When things started going poorly the team folded.

the issue started and ended with coaching, namely head coach and defensive coordinator.

Wait a damn minute.....a logical thought coming from the rant.....It can't be.

Exactly. But they were responsible for meshing the team together. I don't blame the players for getting discouraged after early losses. That always happens. It's then the coach's job to step in and fix it. This is why it's taking so long for Butch to restore a winning culture at UT. Has to wash the Dooley off of it.

What's Tennessee's record since the Great Pumpkin was fired?

Butch had all those OL last year and a great freshman receiver and the offense was trash, too.

A, 1, great "FRESHMAN" WR. No QB, No TE, No RB.

You are stupid, and completely VOLsessed. You comment on EVERY SINGLE THREAD that is even remotely related to Tennessee and add absolutely NOTHING to the discussion.

Incredible to think about how underachieving Dooley teams were. Those years were a prime example of what happens with no accountability and leadership. I've never seen close to a worse defense than the Sunseri debacle.
