The CFBPlayoff will have just as much controversy each year.

We're all in for a show tomorrow.
If TCU gets in, it's controversial because they lost to Baylor who is barely behind them. If Ohio State gets in, they drop TCU for ending the season with a 55-3 victory (score was a blowout, although I can't remember the exact point total). If Baylor somehow gets in, they have to jump TCU and Ohio State after both teams won in a blowout.
One of TCU, Baylor and Ohio State is fricked no matter what.
My final top 4: (1) Alabama (2) Oregon (3) Florida State (4) TCU

I think Baylor will jump TCU due to their KSU victory, but I think both will miss out and OSU jumps in.

With 4 spots and 5 conference champions the butt hurt from the conference champ that gets left out will be huge.
Who care. Under the old BCS none of these teams would even be in the discussion.
It'd be Alabama vs. FSU in the title game.
Fanbases are so f'ing entitled. They won't stop till it's a 32 team playoff and 8-4 teams are in it and the regular season means absolute jack shite.

IMO, it would be a travesty for Ohio State to get in over Baylor, and especially TCU.

I just can't see a team that is currently ranked 3rd get jumped. Their only loss is to a GREAT Baylor team, and they barely lost. I just think that will weigh the most in the end.

Agreed. It would be a load of bullshite.

Clearly this is much more exciting and draws more attention to CFB. Seems like a huge success and we haven't even played a game yet.

You might think that until you remember that the 5th element of the committee's consideration is conference championships. OSU playing a 13th game and demolishing what many thought was a very good Wisky team you might be wrong.
eta: I have zero love for OSU, just my opinion on what the committee will do.

They also are rumored to take into account injuries...and Ohio State is down to their 3rd string quarterback. It just seems wrong to jump them and Florida State ahead of previously ranked #3 TCU.

Big 12 not naming a champion is bullshite. Instead they are just fricking over baylor.
Co-Champs is bullshite

The entire thing is a shitshow, and I'd rather they had left the BCS crap in place until someone figured out a better "playoff" system. Four teams does not a "playoff" make.

FSU has played 13 games as well and will be ranked 3rd. If OSU doesn't make it in I believe Baylor will jump TCU for 4th due to the KSU win. However, OSU will bring better fans and viewership and them winning big will give the committee the ammo to put them in at 4.
Is it fair? Who knows, but the Big 12 not naming Baylor Big 12 champ is horseshite so for that reason I want them both to miss out, and frick the commissioner for ignoring the bylaws.

OSU will get in, boys. The B1G has a lot of lean on this committee. This has been setting up since OSU lost in week 2 and the NCAA baptisted Penn State. They ain't getting left out.

Yep.
The should have just stuck with the BCS formula to pick the teams.

It wouldn't matter if there was 64 teams.
There'd still be controversy and arguments.

It is what it is, and I understand your thinking process. But again, it would be incredibly stupid and short-sighted for the playoff committee to drop #3 TCU to #5 or #6 after winning a game like they just did.
It's just all a mess right now. Two teams are fricked.

Exactly. 68 teams make the basketball tournament and the bubble teams STILL bitch.
Your garbage team goes 19-17 and you think you belong int he tournament to play for the national championship? Give me a f'ing break.

It looks like the inaugural year of the playoff committee selection system is going to be more controversial than any of the previous BCS rankings.
There are going to be some really irate coaches, teams, ADs, and fans tomorrow.
