With Jameis' hearing going on today I was thinking about his other antics, specifically this phrase and how it's become a popular thing to interrupt reporters.

I've made threads and posts criticizing the media in the past, but that's partially because my career looks to head in that general direction. Plus, the interrupted reporters are usually local just trying to do their job and report simple news, not riling stuff up like nationwide mainstream media.

This act just really pisses me off to see. You should never interfere with someone's job like that. The people who do it are cowardly punks trying to act tough.

I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way but I'm just ranting

/rant. How do you feel?

People are idiots and we are raising a generation of idiots who think getting on TV make them cool no matter how stupid they actually look are gaining in numbers.

First time was funny as hell. Every other time has been lame.

Like everything else, it was funny for a little while to those who don't take everything too seriously.

Sounds stupid ... But considering the source, not a surprise.

Idk about all that Just stupid people doing stupid attention-whoring things. Doesn't really go much deeper than that imo.

I fail to see the humor in it myself, but I also don't feel super pissed off about it when it happens.

It's probably because I might end up having a stint doing it I just called them cowardly punks because they run away as soon as they do it

Fair enough

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not well-versed in the nature of the meme/prank), but isn't that the unofficial capper of the gag? The drop in/drop out like a drive-by?

Idk, like I said. I just gaze on, bemused by it all

I live in TN and listen to the Vols games on the local sports radio station if it doesn't conflict with Bama games. Anyway, the week of (perhaps the week after) the Jameis stuff a young adult called in the pregame portion of the show and said it. They just ignored it and moved on to the next caller. It was awkward, but I think that is the way you handle it.

It's clearly not funny now, but I don't find it offensive (though I do feel bad for the "on-air" people who have to decide how to handle the issue."
