No direct effect on the field for us but ole Dabo & CU's recruiting might be in for a solid hit...

I know he wanted to get back to Tejas but he could have pulled a better job unless the SMU job was the one he was waiting for.

yup...kinda of a head scratcher. Someone said it was for $3,000,000 a yr for 8 years. Thought that was a pretty strong commitment from them...

Not positive it's true, because Chip Brown is known to be wrong from time to time but I can definitely understand him wanting to go there. It's back in Texas, and he has absolutely zero pressure to win in the next three years so he can build the program the way he wants to.

3mil a yr at SMU is a dream gig. Lot of people here know ive been a fan of morris for a long time. this will definitely be my Texas team now. Lot of damn good football played out there but couldnt bring myself to really pull for anybody. Well maybe TCU a little bit

Funny as shite that aTm & UT are the 3rd-4th best schools in that state now...

It's amazing how good coaching can change the way programs are viewed. Fran was terrible at A&M, and Mack's last 4 years at Texas were a complete embarrassment. Huge difference between Briles and Patterson who are really good coaches (even though Patterson went 5-7 last year).
