AFA releases "Naughty or Nice" list of Retailers

The American Family Association recently released its 2013 Naughty or Nice List, which rates some of the nation's top retailers based on how "Christmas-friendly" they are in their advertising.
AFA's rating for each company is based on a review of up-to four areas: print media, broadcast media, company websites and store visits. Companies that make reference to Christmas items without using the word "Christmas" are considered to be censoring the word.
"We've become a society that is overly concerned that something we say, even when true or right, might offend someone," said AFA President Tim Wildmon in a statement. "The truth is that America was built on Christian principles and our nation has enjoyed much of our economic success because of the tenets of our founding fathers. When stores try to be politically correct by pushing Christ out of Christmas, it's time to shop somewhere else."

I'm not offended in the least by corporations that say "happy holidays" but I do think they are pussies.

I agree with this.
I love everything about Christmas, including the Christian parts, despite not believing in the faith. Last year I had someone tell me they stopped listening to Christmas music because they weren't Christian anymore and I wanted to punch him in the face.

The true meaning of Christmas was lost long ago when corporations made it about a mythical guy from the North Pole who gives out presents, for no other reason than to sell a bunch of merchandise

All I'm saying is it doesn't matter what you believe in, if you can't enjoy a good rendition of "What Child is this" or "Silent Night" then you can kindly get fricked.

I'm a Christian that doesn't really celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday for several reasons, but have no qualms over those that do. And if it gets people that otherwise aren't religious thinking about Christ just for a bit, then it can't be a bad thing.

Chistmas isn't the only holiday during the season, so I'm fine with stores saying "happy holidays". I'd instruct my employees to say the same if I owned a store.
