Auburn's playoff chances are done and Marshall is gone combined with the fact that the fan-base is pretty fed up with his mediocrity.

If Johnson is as good as he is to be proclaimed by the Auburn faithful, what is the Gus Bus waiting on? Does he know something the rest of the fans don't?

Honestly, I'm most afraid of Sean White. After seeing that guy light up the all star games a couple years ago, he could be good.

In all honesty, Auburn fans rant about how great Johnson is, but if he isn't starting over Nick Marshall after how shitty he has played, combined with the fact that Auburn is out of the hunt for Atlanta, it doesn't give me great confidence that Gus thinks he is ready to play.

Nobody, in their right mind, is fed up with Nick Marshall or his so-called mediocrity. He has not been the problem this year. Our problems arise from dropped passes, terrible pass blocking by the offensive line and injuries (Duke Williams). Nick Marshall has been lights out for most of the season and his escape ability alone has extended drives much further than they should have gone. He's a playmaker, period.

Now, I agree that it is possibly time for Jeremy Johnson to take over, but it's pretty hard to bench someone that isn't causing glaring problems on offense. We need a spark, and I think the offense against Alabama would be best served by taking advantage of their secondary because it is more susceptible than the run defense. It's no secret that Jeremy Johnson is the better passer, but can he stay upright? Can the offensive line block for him? Can the wide receivers catch the ball?

Why did AJ start the Sugar Bowl last year?

Bama was done and he sucked.

Must have been trying to keep the black man down I guess.

Coker must be so God awful for alabama to let Sims start over him. Kind of like Watts was when they finally let Zow play.

Didn't he finish second in the Heisman voting? I could be wrong.

There are a lot of your fellow plainmen that are not in their right mind, then.

Well, I'll be damned, we agree.

I, myself, am not even in my right mind - but I haven't gone that far yet.

An even bigger joke than Ingram finishing first.

Marshall beat AJ last year going against Alabama's defense while AJ got to go against Auburn's defense.

Ruminate on that for a few.

I'm glad that is helping him play so great last year. He has progressed nicely in Gus's system. Big step forward.
