We can't run last years offense. Our OL is not good enough to steamroll defenses this year.

Its like people think our OL could block if we change strategy or put JJ in. JJ got mauled against Georgia for example.

We have WRs who have bricks for hands and OL who couldn't a toddler on the basketball court.

Is hate a strong enough word for this offense?

It says a lot when our Outland Award Nominee got split first team reps with Dampeer this past week. Losing Alex Kozan was a disaster and Chad Slade regressed. Show Coleman is average and struggles in pass protection. Avery Young is the lone bright spot in a line of mediocrity

Slade was always bad. Reece isn't good because of his dominant blocking skills which is exposed due to slade and danzey flanking him. Coleman has lost his legs during the season but hard to tell if it is health or ability

Last year's offense was my favorite ever watching AU football. It was so fun being able to line up and run over everyone and not even need to have a passing attack. Seccg was unreal. Then the last drive against to noles was just epic destruction when we needed it.

Balanced offense? We are only passing 6% more often than last year. Last year 28% of our offensive plays were pass attempts, this season we are at 34%. That still isn't "balanced"..the only real difference is that this season we can't just run-run-run-run and score 40+ points on everyone.

You are in phase 3 of a super melt. I am not sure after the TAMU game what you were expecting.

It's extremely balanced.

We either turn the ball over, drop a crucial pass, or get a penalty on many drives.

I think Prosch, Robinson, and Kozan are what we miss most.

It is hard to run read option when the defensive line whip us across the front before we can execute a "read".

I think are skill guys are good enough, but I think Braden Smith starts next year. With Cox coming in at H-back and JJ at QB, I think 15-0 'ship is the only reasonable expectation for 2015.

You guys must forget the Tubberville offense (except 2004) and the post Gus offense under Chiz.

There will be games when our offense is off. So far that has been one game - UGA. It also came after a heartbreaking playoff ending loss to Texas A/M at home - a game we lost after scoring 38 pts. Yes - we lost after scoring 38pts. You should never lose a game after scoring 38 pts.

We had 3 games under 31 pts this year and lost 2 of them. The offense will never be an issue under Gus. There may be a bad offensive night every once in awhile, but its rare.

Now - the defense - you could complain about that balance if you would like.

Yup, and we are probably passing less than 15% of the time on first down. Our o-line is a major part of the problem, but being predictable as hell is a big problem too.

Who is going to catch the passes from JJ? Melvin Ray can't catch them all.

I'm not in complete meltdown mode bc a lot of what we saw this season IMO can be changed with some decent coaching and a little luck (minimize offseason injuries). Our schedule was brutal this year. No one would want our schedule. The only thing I'll add is CGM is gonna have to earn his pay this offseason & next year. Some of you may disagree but NM was a double edge sword. The guy is a tremendous athlete but his passing really is putrid. It's not that complicated but IMO teams didn't mind making us put the team on his back to win games. They sold out against the run. If you have a QB who can keep the defense on its heels make DBs cover your running game will open up. The key for JJ is his ability to run the read option.

DW is going to stay IMO. I don't give a shite what Sammie Coates does.

I wish I could trade Sammie for Darvin Adams last year of eligibility.

It's like people didn't see a direct connection between Duke leaving and our offense turning to shite. While we still were able to turn it up against TAMU since their D sucks, it is lack of viable receiving options that kill us.

Nick isn't a great passer but his throws are catchable. If our WRs didn't hero derp people couldn't sell out against the the run

Yeah, you will have the NM supporters jump in shortly, but everyone knows he is hit or miss on passing, so they are selling out on the run, and allowing NM's lack of accuracy work against us. It is what I would do. Our OL was so good last year, it didn't matter if they loaded the box.
