and State will be in the first ever College Play-Off Final 4. This is why I thought it was huge to be in the top 4 this week. Do you think this is true of false? By beat I mean beat Vandy by like 3 scores & just beat Ole Miss.

Who'd've though that MSU would be in the first playoff if it happens. Crazy shite.

Serious, non trolling question...say TCU, Baylor, or OSU drops a game in the next 2 weeks,

Do you want Bama to lose the iron bowl so you play in the SECCG or are you content with sitting at home and getting a free pass into the playoff?

Yes, I'm content either way.

Pick one. And assume we win the East and you don't get Mizzou in ATL

No matter who goes from the East, I'd much rather sit out the SECCG, because I want to win the first playoff NC ever with the easiest path, even if that means sacrificing an SECC.

ETA: We would kick your and Mizzou's shite in either way FWIW

SEC is getting the conference champion unless its Mizzou and that is it. To get two some crazy shite would have to happen.

Then I'd rather beat y'all in Atlanta for the playoff berth.

I have a funny feeling that they will drop MSU when the final rankings come out. I don't see them putting 2 SEC teams in the final 4.

Everyone keeps saying that, but they aren't going to leave the better team out just because Alabama is already in it. As much as you want to believe that they are trying to avoid 2 SEC teams, they will put the 4 best teams in the playoff based on their schedules and outcomes. They won't deny us because it would put both Bama and State in, they'd deny us because of conference championships.

They have done it right so far. I think they'll continue to. We'll see.

what a loser attitude. State never gets to Atlanta and now you would rather skip it to avoid a potential loss.

Awfully arrogant to believe that it's a done deal, if win out. I've been a big MSU fan all along, but the Dogs have been shaky for four straight games now.

Jeff Long and some others on the committee may well have MSU's and/or the SEC's back, but don't underestimate the "perception" and gains that some like Ohio St can and will make with their Conference CG.

I think if you are ahead of TCU now, then Texas and Iowa St aren't gonna help them leap you, and even suspect that Texas may make a run at TCU.

But, also suspect that there is bias against two SEC teams being in, and think that some agendas in the room, may wish for Oreg(West Coast), Ohio St(Midwest) and two southern powers in Bama and FSU(ACC rep..thus Eastern seaboard draw too)..for largest possible tv viewership and most politically correct Power 5 addressing(4 of the 5 in current format)..wins the day.

If MSU, I'd be just as nervous of the committee's final vote, as I would #8 Ole Miss.

They deserve to be in so far but it's foolish to think that there aren't pressures to include more than 3 of the 5 power conferences. Sure they'll fall back on the ol' "Value of a Conference Champion" line but I have a feeling that you will be disappointed in a few weeks. I hope not, I'd like to see MSU/Bama II.

Politics are gonna play a bigger part than State fans want to admit.

Its all a pointless convo though cause State isnt getting out of Oxford with a W

As would I. Even though Bama(despite being off LSU gm) raced to early 19--3 lead, and late garbage TD to cosmetic up the final tally. I sorta wonder if MSU can hang or best Bama on a neutral field or off long rest/prep time..Curious if they are truly as good or better, if Dak and Co cut down on the brainfarts?
