This is a little late, but thank you Kentucky for stomping the chicken hawks in basketball. Please schedule them every year to ensure the beakers understand they are not the greatest basketball power ever like they think they are.
While your at it please schedule them in football too. That may be unrealistic though because it will ruin your strength of schedule.

Kentucky is now 22-6 against kansas all-time. I don't think the Beaks have any illusions about being on UK's level.

And it's always good to see kansas go down. They were pretty damn obnoxious in 2012 too. Heard all kinds of good stuff about their "classy" fans from the game in Madison Square Garden.

Beaks on Twitter were claiming that they are a better program than Kentucky and have more tradition. I was dumbfounded. Their delusion is unmatched by anyone, although arkansas comes pretty close.

If you ever have been to Kansas you would know why they are delusional, it is all that they have got. Missouri did its best to wipe out the Kansas virus over a century and a half ago, alas we failed

Don't even get me started, the story on their Helms titles is even funnier than it looks. The banner they hang for 1921? Actually Mizzou and ku tied for the conf title that year with identical 15-1 records, each winning on the opponents homefloor by identical 10 point margins. Mizzou finished 16-1 overall, ku finished 16-2. No postseason back then.
So Mizzou challenged ku to a tiebreaker game in Kansas City to determine a true conference champion. ku declined, saying its "athletes needed to focus on their studies."
Then years later they hang a retroactive banner for a mythical national title resulting from that scenario somehow, and talk shite at their arch rival over said title after wussing out on actually playing us.

I was on a cruise in 2012 during the title game. Sat with some UK fans across from Kansas fans. Tried to go over and talk to them after the game and congratulate them on their season. They wouldn't shake my hand.

Oh yes. And "they made North Carolina because they gave them Dean Smith" too. So really ku owns all of Kentucky and North Carolina's accomplishments combined into one megapile of dynastic ku hoops royalty.
If however you point out that Phog Allen was a Missourian, they drop the above logic like a hot potato.

I remember the 150-95 or whatever it was game back in the 1989-1990 season when Pitino was first starting up. Really uncalled for. We took care of them for you in Lawrence later that year.
Then the next year in 1990-91 y'all returned the bitchslapping...guess one bitchslapping was enough to send them running from what you are saying.

So you know why every UK fan despises Kansas on a level similar to Mizzou's hatred of them.
I was at the revenge game and almost went deaf. Rupp Arena was never as loud as on that night. The Kansas players actually seemed afraid of the crowd. They would look nervously into the crowd, anticipating flying objects I suppose.

And I hope it was for good reason.
We did used to throw whiskey bottles at the ku band at football games. Not our finest hour but hey, don't bring your band to our stadium.
The Mashburn/Unforgettables UK teams were the tits. There was, I suppose, something to be said for those days when coaches like Pitino and, nauseating to me as it is to say it, Roy Williams were out there proving to everyone they were in fact great coaches even when handed a bare minimum of talent and a massive rebuilding job. With all the 4/5 star talent pipelines that those kinda coaches get every year on name recognition alone nowadays its easy to forget that.
I was just googling and the halftime score of that 150-95 game in '89 was 80-61 ku...that's unreal.
FWIW, the Mizzou player who hit the game winning free throws against ku later that year in the #1 vs #2 showdown I mention above was...Travis Ford. I've heard rumors that just maybe he later went back home to become a slightly popular Kentucky Wildcat...so in a way you got revenge on 'em that year as well.

Dook and Line Beards are more deluded. At least some KU fans can have a discussion about the sport or the game. This never happens with the other 2. Duke basketball fans are like Notre Dame football fans, and the Line Beards are just a new low of stupid.
I do like giving KU fans some academic smack downs tho. They never see it coming and the expressions can be priceless.
