If all 3 conferences welcomed you with open arms and equal money, which conference would you rather be in? Rank your choices. This quiz will be timed. Please drop your tests in the basket at the door. Thanks.

you make no sense including the Big 12 in the title. We left the Big 12 and were founding members of the Big 8 and 12. Why would we ever go back?

As far as Big 10 is concerned...

I do not want the old Big 8 back. I'm beyond that.

Sure, would it be cool to play Nebraska every year? Yes. Do I care about any of the other teams? frick no.

SEC
Big 8
Big 12
Big 10

SEC well ahead of Big 8 which would be my second choice.

I would stay in the SEC--no question. I was at Mizzou when the Big 8 added the 4 Texas schools.

The Big 8 was comfortable, however it was extremely regional. There were good programs in the conference at that time--Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado, however the national coverage wasn't there. The TV coverage for both Big 8 and Big 12 games was a joke.

I think that the exposure that Mizzou gets being in the SEC is awesome. And I can watch their games even out here in California.

I lived in Atlanta the last 15 years... Just recently moved back to Kansas City. Just getting fence-sitting Mizzou fans here in KC to buy into the pageantry, passion and fellowship that the Saturdays in the SEC have to offer seems to be a long road to hoe. I think it's going to take some time but I think they'll buy in.

Interesting comment. I have made some recent trips to KC for business and talking to the local fans there they seeem ambivalient at best about being in the SEC. They all seem to miss their old rivalries. Maybe its different in other parts of the state but in KC, they just don't seem to get it and aren't feeling it.

SEC
Best gameday atmospheres are in this conference.
One time I would like to experience a night game at LSU.

I'd say Big 8 for one reason: conference round-robin. Being in the East when it is down is great for Mizzou's record but it gets pretty old hearing about the West, and when Mizzou was in the B12 it was the same with the North-South.

Basketball was even better; the last year of Big 12 basketball was pretty fantastic. Double-round robin and you really knew who had the best team at the end of it (Well, we got screwed at kU that year but you get the idea ). If The SEC could somehow get a 13-game conference schedule, despite the fact that teams would be down to their 4th string everything it would be pretty awesome.

Seems to make sense.

Kansas City is a long long long way from any sort of SEC footprint. I can't imagine there are very many if any other SEC alums that live there, but I imagine there are all sorts of Big 8 and Big Ten alums there (Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, OU, etc). Would that be right?

At least in St Louis you still have the Kentucky/West TN/Arkansas feel.

Be like Tennessee joining the ACC and folks from Memphis throwing their hands up.

KC is midwest as frick...there is nothing southern or remotely southern about the place....nice people and all but its basically a giant cowtown....Chiefs and Royals rule the roost...its a big city but you really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere....if you talk college football with the local alumni they all talk about the old rialries particularly with OU, Nebraska, and Kansas....that said, I do think they get that the SEC is probably a good move but just don't seem to care that much.....unlike evey Aggie I have personally met who, to a fan, are super-pumped about being in the SEC.

I'm one of those KC folks that's not feeling it, I just don't want to be where we're not wanted that's all.

Big 8/12. Fits better geographically. Rivalries and all.
