Herbie and Kanell are pushing Ohio St bc they will win their conference. How can a 1 loss Buckeye team go past a 1 loss Bulldog team? Look at the schedules and who each team played. Miss St is gonna get screwed here if both teams win out and it will be a tragedy.

Nah. The committee probably hates ESPN like the rest of us.

I hope they do get in. The thumping they will get would be glorious.

Think it all plays out.

State is much more impressive than the buckeyes.

Well, when you thnk about it, Mississippi State has only beaten 1 ranked team so far, and Ohio State has beaten two. I believe Mississippi State is the better team. I have nothig but respect for MState and what hey have done.

Think about this though. Ohio State lost to Virginia Tech at HOME who is now 5-5 on the season.

they did but they're also playing pretty good football now. Ohio State is a good team.

One of those teams will win their division and their conference.

Hope Wisconsin beats the living shite out of them and Melvin Gordon rushes for the rushing record again in the conference championship.

quote:yup, and have one of the nation's best coaches.
Ohio State is a good team.

quote:I'm looking at MSU having one win over a ranked team and OSU having two. MSU has an abysmal OOC schedule and OSU at least tried with VT. It isn't far-fetched at all for OSU to be in front of MSU.
Look at the schedules and who each team played.

If you don't win you division, let alone conference, you didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Maybe it happened because of external factors, but you didn't get screwed.

The thing that hurts Miss St is that the committee doesn't look at how bad your losses are at the end of it all. They look at conference champions, strength of schedule, head to head, and common opponents.

A Virginia Tech loss at home vs an Alabama loss on the road. I don't see how they can justify that. I just hope Wisconsin settles it for everyone when they play Ohio State.

So teams should schedule nothing but easiest OOC cupcakes as possible.
Why take the risk when the only thing that matters is not losing?

It's 2011 again with the roles switched. Winning your conference is/was a big deal and consideration except for one year.
