I don't get why he was playing so late. I get it was his return game, but damn.

@nfldraftscout: Confirmed ACL tear for Todd Gurley. Terrible news. Was in my top 10 overall.

That is awful. I know he wanted to play, but he looked kind of hurt even earlier in the game.

Wish the best for the kid.

Pretty much assumed at this point. He will have surgery and begin rehab to get ready for pro day. The $5-10 million insurance policy will cover the first round money he will lose out on. Will now be taken 2nd or 3rd round

This is the dark side of Richt making decisions based on the emotions of the fanbase. They didn't need to play Gurley last night to stomp Auburn, and it would have been in Gurleys best interest to sit.

The plus side is when he went for it on fourth instead of settling for a field goal. Georgia took hold of the momentum for the rest of the game with that.

He was rusty after not playing for 5 weeks and we were only up 20 and driving for a score on an Auburn team that is fully capable of coming back on our defene

Damn that sucks. Georgia has him a nice insurance policy though, he's going to get paid.

What does the insurance policy state? I would have assumed it only pays out if he can no longer play football. Not for an injury.

Yep, I can't blame Richt for having Gurley in there. We took over the ball on that drive with over 10 minutes left in the game and with Auburn still within 3 scores. Georgia was trying to put the game away and Gurley picked up a huge 1st down on the play he was injured on. As shitty as Auburn's offense looked yesterday, they can still score in a hurry.
