For as clutch as it has been when we needed to get some points, it has really struggled to find an identity lately. Starting halfway through the UT game, we have kind of screwed around and are stalling at some very critical times. Not sure what the answer is but if we want to win the playoff, we got to find an answer. We can't have a bunch of 3 and outs and expect to beat AU.

UA must lead the nation in 3rd Down passes with a completion that doesn't make a first down.

I think the offense has forgotten that there are 3rd quarters in games.
Seems more than just being passive. Just lack of execution.

I believe The OL or the inability of the line to dominate as in the previous years, excluding last year as well, hurts us more than Sims.

They were playing a strange zone for most of the game. They had everyone but the 4 down lineman within 15 yds of the line of scrimmage looking at the QB. They were daring us to throw deep, and we did....only twice. It's still painfully obvious that Sims can't take the top off a defense. That long pass to Cooper should have been incomplete where he threw it. We stalled constantly. We should have scored 30 in the first half at least, but we shot ourselves in the foot. Our play calling was strange(see first play from scrimmage) and we never truly had a rhythm. It's like we had to force our way to score, nothing was smooth. We were fighting ourselves. Plus uncharacteristic mistakes like CRobs 2 mental errors on back to back plays. We played like crap, and we need to wake up or we are going to embarrass ourselves, and soon.

Considering how long the D was on the field, especially in the second half, I thought they played lights out.

Pretty much this. The offense would've looked fine if not for 2 or 3 drops, all in the third quarter IIRC, that should've been easy catches.

Relax. Auburn's defense is putrid.

Vanilla play calling until our backs are against the wall honestly. The keep the foot on the gas pedal theory applies to us more than any team in existence

When we get a good lead I would like to see us bring in some beef and pound the rock more.

Seems to be a veiled shot at Sims. Ironic because when he does throw for the first down OJ or Coop is dropping them.

I think Sims forgot until the 4th quarter that he is allowed to run. He could have extended a few drives wither the acres of space in front of him, but he ended up taking a sack or making a bad throw.

I agree with this. There were a few times yesterday when I couldn't believe he threw the ball instead of running.

sad part is, we have many more receivers that seldom get thrown to. and then too often the ball is nowhere near catchable. not sure why its like this. but it frustrates me to watch it. cant imagine the frustration with the wr corp.

and seriously, these offensive struggles are the only reason these games are even close
