Someone on the recruiting thread we had the exact same record as LSU so I wanted to take a closer look. The #s are very similar.

Record
A&M 27-9 (13-9)
LSU 27-9 (14-8)

Avg Final Ranking (high)
A&M 15.67 (5)
LSU 15 (14 2x)

Ranked Wins (high)
A&M 4 (#1 Bama)
LSU 6 (#2 Auburn)

Right now its stupid close, but I'd give LSU a slight edge. If we just could have won one of the h2h games I think we'd have the edge. However if we finish strong this year I think we over take them as well.

Unfortunately most of what people judge by is perception, and the 59-0 game destroyed ours.

You have to beat LSU first. Also field a defense that's the key.

The way this year played out, yes, but we could lose to LSU every year for the rest of time and if we won more and beat better teams then it wouldn't matter to me.

LSU's roster certainly has had a head start on ours. Sherman did well, but we had zero depth after the starters, especially on D and they almost exclusively left after '12 . They're not trending down neccessarily, but were still on the rise.

The only thing that matters is that we are 0-3 against them since renewal (counting the Cotton Bowl).

Win this year and we can talk shite.

Nah. Talking shite has a far lower threshold than wins and losses

Record update.

A&M 28-11 (13-11)
LSU 28-11 (15-9)

The difference is A&M beat OU & WVU, LSU lost to Clemson & Notre Dame in the bowls while LSU won 2 more conference games.
