There is talk that Dak is less than healthy. I also don't think they match up with our offense very well. The would've been great against us a year or two ago but we have evolved.

assuming amari doesnt drop ever other ball thrown his way like he did against lsu, he should have a career night against them. he was able to get open pretty much at will against the lsu secondary, just didnt make the catches, uncharacteristically. still, you know you are a bad as when you play that bad and still get 83 yards and a touchdown against the best secondary in the country

Vegas was begging Bama backers with that 6.5 line which worries me.

That's not really Vegas begging people to take BAMA. It's more to do with putting the line where people will bet on both sides. They knew the line would rise quickly and it did

It shouldn't. Contrary to popular belief, Vegas can't predict the future.

They are. But wouldn't they keep the line around 6.5 or 7 if they really thought MSU was the better team?

Get lotsa public money on Alabama knowing the sharps will be on MSU...?

Which is adjust the lines until they get even bets. At that point, they've eliminated any risk and just collect the juice.

Yep. Gotta think the line drops as the week progresses. Somewhere around 6.5 would be my guess.

Vegas takes stands on games. Impossible and impractical to try and get even bets and only rely on juice.

Calculated risks.

In almost every case, you're exactly right. They still have to account for huge amounts of money coming in from people who make a living betting games. Not saying a fan can look at an 8 and a half point spread and guarantee a victory, but I'd MUCH rather my favorite team be a nearly 10 point favorite than dog.
