There are very few. I like how SVP and Russillo break down things but they're not necessarily analysts.

Most out there simply regurgitate stats and draw conclusions solely based on stats.

A handful of them do their homework and present a solid analysis.

Which do you like? Hate?

The breakdowns they do on SEC Now are pretty damn good, since they have time to break down more film than they would on ESPN. McElroy and Booger do a damn good job.

Why are you laughing? He generally has balanced, well thought-out insight into college football

Most analysts suck but the best play by play is Blackledge and Nessler

Gary Danielson.

Everyone on here seems to hate him, but I'm not sure why. He's a phenomenal analyst.

Maybe, but it's hard to understand him most of the time with Alabama's cock 10 inches down his throat.

It's funny that, while everyone seems to agree on Danielson/Lundquist playing favorites, no one can agree who the favorite is. Apparently it was Florida (Tebow), then Alabama, then Auburn (Newton), then Texas A&M (Manziel), and now Alabama again. Or something.

Sounds to me like he's doing his job well.

Wtf??? Gary hates on Alabama every chance he can get during a game. He loves when Alabama makes mistakes. He gets a little excited about it.

So you're saying that Alabama's got a big cock, right?

Most of them have knowledge of the game. Where I think Danielson excels is his ability to translate that knowledge to the average fan. Blackledge and Palmer do this nearly as well.

If you listen to Herbie closely you'll notice that he generally speaks of the emotion of the game and the things that are obvious to casual viewers. Not that it's a bad thing. That's just his deal.

danielson, svp, fowler

they are vulnerable to being swayed by the majority opinion, the group-think, that pervades any rankings of college football. but they are all at least knowledgeable. SVP especially is good about admitting when he was just wrong.
