More like UL-Lafayette. But this movie was so monumentally farcical that it would have no resemblance in real life to any school or team..
It may just be the stupidest piece of cinematography ever committed to celluloid....

I thought it was excellent and thought it offered great insight into Louisiana culture.

No the Mud Dogs were better than the 90's version of LSU (known then as Loser State University) because in the movie the Mud Dogs first win is against Iowa. Real life LSU wasn't good enough to beat Iowa until this past bowl season.

It's my favorite Adam Sandler movie.
The Bourbon Bowl is actually the Citrus Bowl Stadium.

dumb arse. that movie wasn't about real people or institutions. it was comedy. they made it up. how can that surprise you?
just so you know, movies aren't real. reality shows aren't reality either. you should get out more. go to universal studios florida; you will learn that jaws wasn't real either; ditto with ET
