He didn't bring Treadwell down before he crossed the goal line. He didn't knock the ball loose. He just caused a freak injury, the shock of which caused Treadwell to fumble. So, basically, it's an award for breaking Treadwell's leg.
Frost didn't do anything wrong that I saw. It's a rough game. I don't hold him any ill will. But causing a random, freak injury while getting dragged into the end zone doesn't deserve an award.

This.
OP also forgot that he should have had a face mask on that play, as well.

Yea there really was a facemask. I think it should have been a 5 yarder because he doesnt really pull it. Would this have negated the fumble?

If an incidental 5 yard face mask was called then yes it would negate the fumble. And be 5 yes from the spot. And first down and goal

They got rid of the incidental facemask penalty in 2008

Original point.
The SEC office isn't giving out awards for breaking people's legs.

You're coming to an ole miss board to argue with fans who are irrationally angry and hurt. What did you expect
Posted on 11/4/14 at 7:48 am to Chawboy
The worst part of the play is his ankle is clearly on the ground, which means the play is dead

You don't have to apologize.

Well while I disagree with the OP, I understood what you were saying and didn't want to get kicked off of y'alls board for something as stupid as that. I enjoy being here.

I'm not going to kick you off for that.
WIO- please don't post that picture

He had 9 tackles, recovered Wallace's fumble, had a pretty big sack and overall was the only thing on our back 7 that wasn't a dumpster fire.
Calling him DPOW is a little BS as I have a hard time believing someone is not more deserving. He had a good game prior to the Treadwell tackle though.
Also, in no way was there a facemask on the Treadwell and I'm like 99% positive none against Wallace either so I'm confused anyone have a gif of this?

the ankle is considered part of the foot.

Read the above post
Posted as I was writing my post and missed it my bad. I rewatched the video and I am just confused and want clarification. I didn't see Kris Frost make contact with Treadwell's facemask. The other Auburn player hit Treadwell after he had fumbled.
Sorry, I just like talking with the other side about stuff because on the AU board it is all "Perfectly legit" and "Crucify the non believers" mentality. If something was either incorrectly called or missed, I am interested in knowing and that really can only come from the OM board
Like I said earlier, I always liked Ole Miss and root for ya'll outside our game. Just trying to undersatnd the other side not ruffle feathers

I am glad Auburn fans are back to loving refs.

I'll be the first one to admit that the refs were bad and often missed penalties that should have gone in Ole Miss' favor (moreso than AUs) from the facemask on Bo's 50 yard run, 12 men on the field etc. For the most part, the 150 yards of penalties were well deserved by Auburn.
I just don't see anything that should be called that would have negated the fumble. It was a freak play, it shouldn't have happened and Auburn benefited. It would be one thing if it was questionable but I am just trying to figure out because I have rewatched it multiple times and have never once seen what ya'll are talking about.
** Even Ole Miss beat writer Neal Mcready or whatever agrees it was properly called on the field

Yea i think they got the call on the field right. It just sucks that a game had to be decided this way.
