...when there was no official conference champion between 1922-32?

Edit: Same applies for the SIAA now that I've done more research.

SoCon was the decade long bridge between the SIAA and the SEC. PAC claims all kinds of PCC records and that conference dies from cheating in the 50's

That had no official champion between then. Both media guides back this up.

What is wrong with it?

quote:

The conference was formed on February 25, 1921 in Atlanta as fourteen member institutions split from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association.[1] Southern Conference charter members were Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Washington & Lee. In 1922, six more universities - Florida, LSU, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tulane, and Vanderbilt joined the conference. Later additions included Sewanee (1923), Virginia Military Institute (1924), and Duke (1929).

How awesome of a conference what that be today?

Over 20 teams? That wouldn't be awesome actually (unless you added more regular season games).

Too many schools to play each other and no CCG back then.
