Mullen ain't going no where & it's kind of funny when Florida fans act like they don't want him most likely only because they know he would turn them down. Mullen has built state into a National power house & he is he to stay fellas. Get over it.

If he gets a better offer he is gone. Just the way it is

A) When Foley hired Muschamp he paid him what he was worth, respectively.
B) When Meyer was here he was one of the highest paid coaches at that time.
C) If Florida wanted to, they could easily pay Dan Mullen whatever he wanted. If Foley is going to dish out 8 million dollars for a coach it'll be a Chip Kelly type.

If he's confident that either of those guys are the answer, why is he starting to recruit the guy at EMCC so hard?
Ole Miss hasn't even offered Kelly. He is merely being evaluated.

I hope it stays that way. We don't need him and I personally don't want him.

hope he doesn't go, but it's just a fact ... msu is a smaller school, football wise, and the wolves will come hunting ... that said, people under-estimate the frame of mind of a person who is settled and has a good family life ... he can stay there several years till his kids are a bit older and seek out more $$ if he desires ... the pressure at a michigan/bama/florida/nfl team will be much higher, immediately, if he were to leave ...

Schematically he is a good fit but the staff would have to really think highly of him to extend the offer. His accuracy is lacking and the character issues will keep him from getting the offer unless we lose Pellerin to LSU.
ETA: I don't think we lose Pellerin to LSU, and the kid is pretty badly underrated.

Smaller than who? We give the same 85 scholarships that everyone else gives.
He's now recruiting highschool seniors that are having a harder and harder time remembering an MSU losing season. The seniors that are carrying this team signed having only seen MSU have one winning season in almost a decade and are arguably the worst class he signed. Classes that have gotten a lot "better" of late. Nevermind that he's doing this ahead of a new stadium and new football complex -- with a #1 team and a Heisman frontrunner.
Mullen didn't build a flash in the pan. It's going to take some of you time to adjust to that and it's fine. Why would he leave with momentum still growing and the chance to be a legend somewhere? What would it take to actually be a legend at UF? Basically not possible.

Still think Mullen is leaving State?
Yes.

Will we pay him $5.25? Probably not. Because no one is going to offer him that much to try to take him from us therefore not really forcing our hand.
That was exactly what I said in previous posts. Mullen isn't a good enough coach to demand $5.25M.

Yes. We're paying him $3.3 base this year for going 7-6, 8-5, 7-6 -- with potential bonuses to bump it to $3.8 or $3.9.
I'm talking base salaries, and Stoops no doubt has bonuses also. The salaries I quoted also are current. To make Mullen the second highest paid coach when you up his contract, you'll have to pay him a helluva lot more than another 1.3 mil. And you won't, because even in the extreme unlikelihood that some other school is foolish enough to pay it, that doesn't mean your AD is equally as stupid.
I'm not doubting any SEC school's ability to pay any coach $5M+ for a coach. I've stated that already. The SEC Network makes that possible. What I'm saying is that no SEC AD is stupid enough to pay Mullen that much...even yours.

Her parents even retired to Starkville from Pittsburgh. “It’s really hard to make friends where you are, because your schedules are so crazy,” she says. “And maybe that’s because I’ve always had a job everywhere we’ve been until we got here, but we’re kinda funny because our life is so wacky.
what in there suggests that he isn't going anywhere? I suppose he could stay at State and maybe in another 6-8 years he might contend again. He knows that you aren't going to compete year in and year out at State. Now, he would probably be smart to stay there, because when he leaves for a bigger program, the pressure to win will be much greater. It's funny how a qb can make a coach.....

UF boosters will buy them a larger home on the beach. Plus, Florida has no state income tax, so Mullen can finally pull the trigger and get his wife some titties.

I personally want him to stay at State
And we only have to worry about every 6th contest or so.
