How much time does he have left in Columbia?

This is the last one I think. He already spends most days on the golf course, soon it will be every day.

They better like him. If they're pissy they haven't won any SEC or national titles, they need to realize for 100 years they could barely win a few GAMES a year, let alone championships.

He's built that program up from nothing.

6 wins and a bowl was that program's ceiling before OBC.

I always laugh at an LSU posters mention of class.

Obviously, he's done an incredible job building the program, so I'm happy with him. However, there is a bit of a love/hate relationship for me. On the one hand, he's probably one of the best coaches in football at preparing for big games, and we've won a fair share of them recently. But on the other, he's had a bad habit of losing some of the games we should win; one or two each of the past few years. We could have seriously competed for a Natty the past 3 years if not for some head scratching losses due to play calling and/or game management.

I do really admire the character of his teams, as someone else said. We rarely have any serious off the field issues. He's not a great recruiter, but I think that's part of his strategy. He wants guys that want to play for South Carolina, not just come for a few years before they move to the NFL, and they play with heart and he does a great job and coaching them up. If we want to really move the program to an elite level though, I think one of two things need to happen. Either we hire a bright, young, up and coming coach when he retires who has a desire to do something great with what's already here, or he swallows his pride and hires a real offensive coordinator who knows how to take advantage of our strengths, which is the running game.

He's not willing to work hard at recruiting. At Florida he didn't have to.

I realize that you're trolling but still .... that's a dumb as frick post.

If total fricktardness was what you were going-for, congrats, you achieved a zen level of fricktardness with that post.

You could not be more wrong. You are incredibly wrong - monumentally wrong.

We want championships. If you'd been paying attention you would know that. We've been a baseball school for decades ... we were not satisfied unless we were/are winning championships.

We tasted success in basketball during the ACC McGuire years and we yearn for that again - and we'll continue to endeavor to win championships.

We tasted women's basketball success during the Pam Parson years and we've been trying to get back there ... we think we're almost there.

But football is something that takes time. We've always had great fans and great support but still, we've let our craziness and infighting hurt our efforts over the decades. We've never waivered from wanting championships, but we were surrounded by a cheating bunch of fricktards at Clemson and UNC and the SEC, particularly Georgia, to our west. We just never were willing to get down and dirty with the rest of them, so we've been trying to do it the right way all along and it has cost us to some degree.

We're getting there. We're close. Our recruiting territory is now national, although we concentrate on home and the border states, and we've finally earned some respect in that regard. Our facilities are almost there. Our fanbase and Board of Trustees are now all pulling in the same direction. We've always been somewhat of a sleeping giant given the talent around us and the support we've had, even in the down years ... so, you could not be more wrong about our collective mentality. We're not the least bit satisfied. We're frustrated, but we're not dumb and we're very patient as long as we see us moving forward and not taking any backward steps.

We're disappointed in this year, but we're also realistic.

Now, if we lose to Tennessee at home you may see a bit of a mini-melt. We're right on the edge of being pissed-off right now, but we're also taking a wait and see attitude knowing this has been a bit of a transition rebuilding year.

We can agree to disagree. I have a lot of respect for CSS and the USCe people and have enjoyed my time in the midlands. You are easy to deal with compared to Clemson.

I stand by my statement. I believe you believe what your saying but don't understand what it takes. Your fan base hasn't become dissatisfied with success enough to push it to the next level. It will come if things continue to go in the direction you are heading.

As for the glass houses issue you brought up to justify your loosing as if somehow you weren't cheating when all around your were…don't forget you have recently been popped for cheating to the tune of $61,000 in impermissible benefits.

Also, don't associate winning with cheating. You would be shocked at the amount of money that is spent on 4 win teams each year.

That was a charge by the NCAA because itcan't understand a hotel renting rooms to anyone (including regular students) over the summer at 450 /mo. Standard summer rate in columbia.

Was a witch hunt from the start. Sanctions based in ncaa not understanding market value of apartment rentals. They thought students should have paid posted daily rate paid by nobody during non-football weekends.

Interested to see what unc gets for actually cheating.
